The coffee bean is named after North Sumatra’s Mandheling people, an ethnic group renowned for their tradition of farming and processing coffee beans. Grown on Sumatra Island blessed with abundance of volcanic soil and tropical climate, Sumatra Mandheling coffee has a complex taste with a plethora of different flavor notes.

Unlike most coffee beans, Sumatra Mandheling coffee beans are processed both wet and dry. During wet processing, the pulp is removed from the coffee cherry while the mucilage remains on the parchment and is later sun-dried. Semi-washing produces a superior quality with a cleaner and more consistent flavor to the final product. Medium-dark roast brings out the naturally eminent spicy flavors and subtle sweetness of the beans with paprika and nutty notes, creating coffee with a robust, long-lasting aftertaste and medium acidity.

Ingredient: 100% Arabica Sumatra Mandheling Coffee Beans

Brewing Method: Tear off the filter paper along perforated line, place the hanger on the cup. Pour hot water (91-96c) to wet the coffee, then slowly pour remaining hot water (Best served with +/- 200ml hot water for perfect taste)
